# Edit an automation rule

### Edit

To edit an existing automation rule:

1. Go to **Automations** on the left side menu.
2. Click the **…** (three dots) button on the right-hand side of the rule.
3. Select **Edit rule.** Here, you can add or remove one or multiple conditions and actions or repositories.
4. To save the changes, click **Generate rule** and then **Save.**

### Disable

To disable an existing rule:

1. Go to **Automations** on the left side menu.
2. Disable the toggle button on the right-hand side of the rule.

### Delete

To permanently delete an existing rule:

1. Go to **Automations** on the left side menu.
2. Click the **…** (three dots) button on the right-hand side of the rule.
3. Select **Delete rule.**
